ECOtherm PCM™ is a macro-encapsulated, eutectic energy storage system used to reduce energy consumption in buildings. A homogeneous mixture of mineral salts are sealed into a tiled pattern. Together, these salts melt at a lower temperature than any of the individual constituents. Its state-of-matter efficiently changes with temperature, from solid to liquid and back, giving it a high level of thermal conductivity. It has the capacity to store large reserves of energy then release the energy as needed.
